New friend of the cellar.
Saturday night started off well enough new hair cut, new dress, great man. The plan was to go swing dancing which I was super excited about so we set off. We ended up driving around for almost an hour looking for the place and could not find it. So we decided to just go out for a drink. We were a bit too dressed up for the other 25th clubs that we would normally partake in so we agreed on the wine cellar. Now having previously read the reviews on this page I was now having very low expectations for the whole night at this point. When we arrived the door man who tuned out to be the owner , very cool, asked if we would be staying to see the band for a five dollar cover, I reluctantly said yes and accepted the cover charge. From that point on it was as if they knew that we had read bad things about them. We had two waitresses so our glasses where always full and with fresh fruit, without feeling pestered that’s important. We had a front row seat for the band and when my husband wanted us to go play pool I was sure that we would lose it, but the waitress came over asked us if we still wanted it and put a reserved sign on it. In all the band was great the service was awesome they completely saved my night, and the best part was they didn’t even charge us to see the band, I really don’t think that you can ask for more than that. This is a great bar I wish I had never read the other posts on this page I feel like I’ve missed out on a nice little spot, and really I should have read threw the lines when they said they had been going for years, it sound like they had one bad night and decided to post about it, but I don’t see any posts from them from the years before. Why is it that people only voice an opinion when it’s a negative one? Anyway great job guys we will be seeing you again soon....The olivers
Good food, horrible service.
Been going to the Cellar for years and it was doing fairly well but started to go downhill around a year ago. I feel like family sometimes but mostly like I'm invisible. Owner Mitch is great bartender and customer service and knows how to run a business. Terry is also a great bartender and asset to the Cellar. Most of his servers, including Dell, are lazy and don't care about customers. I've been told repeatedly by one server to just yell for her as if it were me that was working. The servers walk right by empty glasses and do nothing when they see them or don't bother to look. (That is when they come out of hiding as they are never seen!) Owner Dell is nice but has problems with the music being too loud and swearing, sorry but it's a bar! She may know how to keep books but let her stay in the office! Mitch does his best to keep them alive but with lazy family for servers and lazy wife he is bound for bust! In my opinion, all of their problems are easily remedied with better servers and keeping Dell away from customers!!!!!
Have never felt more invisable.
