Is very good & fresh on weekends.... I frequent local restaurants quite a bit... I know not to go to asian buffet on a week day unless I drive by & see the parking lot very full. I only go on weekends, because I & everyone I know always usually gets very sick on the weekdays. Just the other day my mother & brother went on Tuesday, my brother ended up getting sick all over the table. I would've expected that they would've done something to compensate for the meal... but nothing! I love them on the weekends though... when they are very fresh.

Like Asian food? THIS is the place. Now, frankly, in the past I've generally never been impressed with any Asian buffet dining establishments. They often have nasty food and a smaller variety then I would prefer. But then I went to THE Asian Buffet in Layton.

First of all, we were seated right away. Although the place wasn't exactly "busy", there were more customers than I might have expected for the middle of the week.

They had everything you could possibly want in an Asian buffet including all-you-can-eat sushi. Although I've certainly had better sushi, I haven't had it at THIS price (more on THAT later).

Their braised duck was fantastic and they must have had shrimp prepared at least half a dozen different ways. Numerous dessert selections were to be found as well. The only thing I wasn't overly impressed with was their egg rolls.

The service was fantastic and our quiet little waitress kept our drinks full and was very attentive to our needs. The manager could be seen not only seating new customers but actually busing tables and using a silent vacuum to tidy up after customers as they left.

This all-you-can-eat Asian experience was only $8.99 for adults and my girlfriend's 7 year old son was only $4.50. The endless drinks ("Pepsi, no Coke") were only a buck apiece.

I usually only tip about 10% at buffet's simply for the fact that I'm getting my own food and the servers are only giving me drink refills but I cheerfully tipped 20% to our friendly waitress. I even stopped and shook the hand of the manager on the way out. He's a quiet little fella and doesn't seem to speak a lot of English but he can sure run a restaurant.

Two thumbs up. Five stars. A+

BEST BUFFET in Utah (for the money). Shrimp lovers rejoice! This is the place. $8.50 for dinner gets you all the shrimp you can eat. The shrimp here are in abundance, and miracle of miracles, they taste great. There are three cooked varieties. 'Must try them all.

For a buffet, the food here actually tastes good.

This is the food-for-the-buck restaurant in Utah. Nothing else comes close.

Recommended: Did I mention the shrimp?, braised duck, mongolian beef (spicy), hot/sour soup, & dim sum. Go after 4:30 P.M. when the lunch crowd leaves. Plenty of parking. Located just west of Barne's Bank.
