Mexican? Or American?

This place has awesome food. The company is related to La Puente so if you like there food, double time places to go! The one thing I didn't like about this particular place is that it is not noticeably mexican. The outside you can't really tell either way. But inside, it is VERY American. When I go somewhere to eat a big MEXICAN burrito, I don't want to listen to American music, or have only Americans working there, or have the entire place look like they should be serving busy Americans some American food. By the way, I am an American, and white, I am not ra cist or prejudice I just appreciate proper culture for the place I am going to eat that serves food from a specific culture. The people are nice and I go there ONLY for the food. Otherwise, I choose La Puente, or a different La Frontera with a better atmosphere. I went here a while back, and while telling the American waitress what I wanted, she didn't know what enchilda style was!!! So I asked for "mole" style to try and get her to understand. She was blonde and not very smart. In exact words, I had said "Can we have 2 bean and cheese burritos, with rice and beans on the side, enchilda style with cheese on the top?" After her not understanding mole, she finally said "OH! I get it, you want 2 enchildas in flour tortillas?" NO NO NO!!!! This is why I would like to have Spanish people helping me in a SPANISH restuarant!!!!
- Pros: FOOD!!!!
- Cons: Atmosphere
