Worse Food Ever. My daughter and I wanted to try an Italian place that was new to us. The good reviews led us to this restaurant. I was a little wary when we arrived right in the middle of the dinner rush and the place was almost empty. I should have paid attention to my gut feeling. We each had a salad that neither of us finished. They were boring to say the least and the dressing was awful. The bread that we ordered was clearly very old and this bread, a bruschetta, was the worst thing I have ever tasted. My pizza was sub-par when compared to any frozen brand I have ever had and my daughter’s pasta was virtually tasteless. The only thing positive about our visit to this establishment was the waitress who was wonderful. We have been lucky enough to have had some outstanding authentic Italian food so believe me when I tell you, this is NOT it.

Authentic Italian on Main Street Bountiful. I love this place. It's mom and pop right from Sicily. I love the home-town feel with a touch of Europe right by my home. Mr. Marcello is friendly and accommodating. This is so much nicer than a big chain restaurant. If you're in Bountiful and want a quaint little dinner with real Italian food, this is the place to dine!

Great food, atmosphere and staff!. My mom and I decided to go to Marcello's last night for our girls night out. We were so pleased with our experience there! The atmosphere is very cozy and inviting. The owners and staff were so friendly and helpful, and so delightful with their Italian accents. The atmosphere was excellent, and the food was amazing. We decided to get the buffet, and were very pleased with it. There was a great variety of authentic, delicious, freshly-made dishes. I've never been to an Italian restaurant that even offers a buffet, so I was impressed! The owner's and staff were very friendly and warm, making the experience even better! I will definitely be a regular at Marcello's from now on.

Family Run Place, Nice Folks, Good Food. It's small, quaint, and family run so do go expecting a fancy place. Instead you get good food with good portions, but you might have to wait a moment or two, or remind them you ordered a beverage. They're a little dysfunctional, but it's worth it. If 12 people show up they might get a little harried. But food is good, they will remember you. It's in a class of its own, very casual, but we've never been dissapointed.

bad experience, would not recommend. We had heard good things and were expecting a good experience. Boy were we wrong. We were ignored intermittently throughout the night. We never really were sure who our waitress was. They forgot what we ordered and it seemed that they pretty much forgot we were there. People who arrived after us had left before we ever got our main course. I just came back to Utah from a trip to Italy and was expecting some authentic Italian food. It was not even close. It was the worst dining experience I have ever had. I will never go back and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Great Place. I love finding small, authentic restaurants. The food here is great. Best Canneloni I've ever had (they use a crepe-like base instead of a nooodle-like base). It is a very nice place.

Fabulous, terrific, WONDERFUL food! Really!. Two weeks ago my family discovered this restaurant in Bountiful. The place is operated by italians and has a very authentic feel to it. The service and staff were very great and friendly -- you can tell it is family owned and operated. The highlight was definitely the food though! It was very very delicious.

I had the spinach ravioli that were very delicate and hand made with a marina sauce with tender chunks of tomato -- awesome. It just melted in my mouth. My wife had the "garden fettucine alfredo" which had large pieces of veggies with a perfect sauce. She took her time eating it to savor each bite. My kids had a yummy pizza that had a thin homemade crust and a cheese mixture that isn't the normal american fare.

The prices were inexpensive. We are going to be regulars!

Best value for Italian. Great food! Homemade Italian sausages, awesome service, wonderful staff. It's hard to find good Italian in Utah. My personal litmus test - If my wife and I can make just as good Italian or better than in a restaurant - why waste money eating out. Tucci's, Macaroni Grill, and Olive Garden have nothing on Marcello's when it comes to great tasting food. So glad we found Marcello's!
