Soaring above the valley floor, this is a course overflowing with challenges. – The Scene
A breathtaking course in an urban setting, Eaglewood is conveniently located seven miles north of downtown Salt Lake City overlooking the Great Salt Lake. The 18-hole course offers a variety of challenges, including mountain elevation, lakes and creeks and wilderness terrain.
According to Course Director Scott Gardner, "Eaglewood is 6,800 yards of golf heaven." Besides 18 holes of first-rate golf, the course also features a fully-equipped pro shop and a food and beverage service. A practice facility for putting, chipping and sand play, along with a driving range is also available.
Shirts and shoes are to be worn at all times. Players wearing golf shoes must have spikeless or soft spike soles; no metal spikes are allowed. Reservations must be made two days in advance.
Plenty of wind and hills – It's a few years old now, but everything still seems "new" and that's not such a good thing. Eaglewood just doesn't have that "live-in" feel that a good course has. And, I'll admit, it freaks me out a bit playing in the backyard of all those pseudo-, pre-formed mansions. All in all, it's not bad -- but certainly not my first choice.
