Real Property Management in Layton Utah
- Rude, unprofessional. and lazy.
They will NOT repair damage in the homes they rent. They have been notified over and over about problems with kitchen appliances, broken pipes, rear deck problems...THEY DO NOT CARE.
Awesome company! We have been with Real
Property Management since 2011 and we are fully impressed. We were with another property management company, Welch, and it was a real relief when the professionals took over. No issues, payments are always on time and there is a lot of open communication between the front office and the owners of the property. I highly recommend using them and when I get more properties they will also be managing them as well!
Thanks to Troy and his staff.
We grew and prospered only because we
found Real Property with the great efforts of Troy. Living in the San Francisco Bay Area, Real Property gives us the worry free of managing our properties afar.
We have to admit, that of all our properties throughout the western part of the U.S., Troy is the top of our list. As we still look for certain properties particular Mobile Home Park Communities, would be very comfortable in Real Property managing the community.

I live out of state and have relied on RPM to management several rental homes for me for over 10 years. They have always done an outstanding job more me through many challenging issues such as insurance claims with a tree on the roof in a windstorm, water flooding a basement, and other "crisis" type issues. Troy is the best! He is fair, reasonable, proactive, and overall I can't think of anything he could do to be better. Hire RPM (and specifically Troy) to manage your property and you will be happy with the results.
I highly recommend Real Property Management. My husband and I are out of state homeowners and have been working with RPM for the past five years. The team at RPM, especially Troy, have been fantastic. They have handled all of our property management needs professionally, from recruiting tenants to renewing our business license to dealing with utilities to eviction, and much more. I honestly can't imagine having a rental property in Ogden (and keeping my sanity) without their invaluable assistance.
I would like to thank the team of RPM for their Rental Property Management and taking care of my property so well. The best thing about them is that they keep me updated whenever needed and remind me I need to make decisions. Also, stand for me when I get annoyed about rent.
TAKE A HINT GUYS!! DON'T DO BUSINESS HERE!!. This place is the worst property management team on the planet!! Im writing this review so you don't have to deal with HORRIBLE people like I did. I cant say her name on the net, but her name rhymes with ronnie. she is a property manager there and she is the biggest LOSER known to man. she's rude, impatient, immature and just plain bitchy. This place is UNPROFESSIONAL to the MAX! do NOT do business with these freaks! God's gift to the world would be if this place closed down and they (Ronnie) died of horrible diseases! my place was a DUMP when i moved in. i dont think it has been repainted since it was built! If you have a half a brain, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE TO DO BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Phenomenal Performance!. These guys are amazing! I have been working with them for a long time, and I have been awed at the kind of work they've done. I have had to deal with several dishonest property management companies in the past, and rpm has totally changed my perspective. They promptly take care of rent collection, regular inspections, and I am always informed about any issues, and they're taken care of. They manage several of my plexes, and I couldn't ask for better quality service.
agent is liar in atlrpm.
Very bad service and bad screening system. Agent said tenant is nurse but she is not. agent is liar,
The contract clearly indicates that Michael canada, my agent, holds $1000.00 of security deposit. He just partially refunded me $500.00.
Tenant change mailbox locks and did not return all keys when she move out but agent said he'll not response this things.
Do not use RPM to manage your property. their staff is very rude and unresponsive.
From Renters Perspective.
This company is unprofessional. I should have known this when I waited for 45 minutes for the property manager to arrive late for a lease signing appointment and all that time waiting, I noticed the receptionist hanging up on a few calls!
I am a renter that makes rental payments to this company. Before signing the lease, we viewed this property that was filthy, but was reassured it would be cleaned. I trusted this (I should have viewed the property again before signing the lease). Upon move in day, the place was just as filthy as when I viewed it. I complained to property manager, which was responsive to getting the place cleaned within a two days. (still a delay from moving in). The cleaning was not acceptable (toilets, tub not scrubbed, and carpets not vacuumed/cleaned). BTW-- in the lease agreement it states I must provide a receipt for professional carpet cleaning, when upon moving in carpets were obviously NOT professionally cleaned). I had to do much cleaning myself. Additionally, the property manager could not give me any information about the property as to which parking was assigned to the unit and which garage. It is a private estate, if a vehicle does not comply to parking regulation, the vehicle could be towed. The property manager replied when asked "I really don't know, ask they neighbors". Is it so difficult for the property manager to contact the owner or gather this information before renting the property?
Now I am six months into a year lease. I have a very difficult time getting a response from our property manager for questions or repairs. For example, a water leak from a door, causing damage to a wood floor took months. Property manager "forgets" to call me or to respond to requests for repair. Within a couple of months of moving in Real Property Management gave my personal information to other third party companies. For example an appraisal service that the owner of the property hired was given my cell phone/home number. The property manager stated that they did not want to be a "third party" to setup an appointment for the appraiser to look at the place, so informed that the appraiser will contact us thus, giving our home phone and cell phone numbers. I understand it may be easier for them, but it is a violation of privacy. Real Property Management was hired to be the "third party" company to act between the renter and the owner of the property!
Another incident, RPM state in our lease agreement they have to give 24 hour notice to enter the premises. A couple times they have called and shown up at the door to change the furnace filter and a property inspection, all without a 24 hour notice! I have owned rental properties myself (now all sold). I would not hire RPM if I were to hire a property management company. It has been about 12 or so years since I've rented and I've only signed a 1 year lease, I'm thankful I will be renting renting [from RPM] is temporary.
