Layton >Chili's Grill & Bar
AWFUL.. If you would like to go somewhere and be ignored, only to receive mediocre food head over to Chili's.
Families and an after-work crowd come to this relaxed Tex-Mex chain for sizzling fajitas and a buzzing bar scene..
Festive decor of colorfully tiled tables, vintage photographs and sunny Southwestern accents welcomes an all-ages crowd at this informal hangout. Youngsters and their parents pile into dining room booths; casual business types toss back margaritas and watch televised sports at the bar. The menu features mild versions of Lone Star state favorites, from double-basted baby back ribs and steak fajitas to red-beef chili and deep-fried onions.
Their commercials are better!. This place does not measure up to their commercials on tv! We ordered just the combo appetizer plate to try and couldn't find the food for the breading. No kidding, I finally starting pulling out the onion pieces and leaving what turned into a huge pile of breading on my plate. And whoever heard of tempura breading on chicken - is this a mall food court idea? The egg rolls were tight, tasteless. The honey mustard was ok, but when I dipped something into the blue cheese I thought they had switched it with some industrial cleaner - yuk! Nothing could persuade us from going back. The waitress was kind and efficient but I'm not going there for her!!
