Used to care, but now have COCKY employees.
I work near the Layton Hills Mall and eat at this Chick Fil A several times a week. Most employees seem to care about the clients, but my boss had one of the worst experiences ever this week.
He took me, his pregnant Wife and a client to lunch there. After lunch we visited a Real Estate office in the mall. When we were done, he went back to get a Free refill on his drink which he almost never do.es The first girl that was helping him was very nice and polite. Another young girl that was an employee behind the counter butted in and said "Technically..... you need to pay for that refill". My boss said, "I thought they were free". She said " This is your second refill so you need to pay". My boss said " I'm sorry, but you are not right". Then the very smug girl said " Actually I have a very good memory and I know you already got a refill". My boss said " Well, I disagree, but I will pay if that is required". This young girl then said " Well it is since this is your second refill". My boss had no cash so he paid the .25 with his credit card.
When we got back to our office he confided in me that he was VERY embarrassed because all of this unfolded in front of a client.
This cocky and arrogant employee should know one thing. My boss did get a refill earlier. BUT..... it was for his pregnant wife who can barely walk because she is 9 months pregnant. After our meeting he refilled his own drink.
I am certain that we will NEVER go back to this Chick Fil A. I think they collected 23 cents before taxes. Of that the credit card company probably took most of it.
All of this so this young girl could feel like a hot shot and embarrass my boss in front of our client.
This is sad since 4 or 5 of us eat there several times a week. While I am younger than this girl, even I don't understand her arrogance and desire to humiliate a very honest man over 23 cents.
I recommend that you avoid this location until they get these RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL employees under control.
I would also like to note that my boss and his client are not exactly the criminal looking type. They were wearing dress shirts and ties.
I feel bad that the owner probably has no idea how his employees are treating regular customers. it is too bad that this little girl will cost them at least 4 customers that USED to eat there a few times a week.
I hope you enjoy the feeling that you WERE RIGHT. My boss was getting his second refill. For HIMSELF instead of for his lovely pregnant wife.
You are VERY RUDE and I am also sending a letter directly to Chick Fil A to let them know how you treat regular customers.
No bones about it: crispy chicken sandwiches, buttered biscuits and signature waffle fries..
In Short
This fast-food restaurant lures diners with the promise of fresh ingredients and a dependable menu. The marquee Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich is a fried breast served on a toasted bun with sliced dill pickles; other items include nuggets, strips, salads and wraps, all featuring the beloved bird. Health-conscious customers avoiding fried food can order the char-grilled chicken sandwich--same concept, one third the fat.
The best chicken - ever. This place is amazing - they specialize in only one thing - chicken - fresh, big hunks, or strips, lightly breaded, tender moist, with an excellent bbq sauce. The waffle fries are good, the lemonade is excellent and the new fruit cup is very refreshing. They are only in the Utah mall food courts with one exception - a free standing business in the parking lot at South Town Mall - and the place was jammed when we went there. Observe the food court businesses next time you go to a mall - there is ALWAYS a line at chic-fil-a. Avoid the non-breaded filet sandwich - not as good.
